Domicile Change to SD: Concealed Carry Permit?

I've searched the forum for answers on this, as well as the SD state sites, but cannot quite find them. We're about to change domiciles from Kansas to SD. Does anyone know what the process is, if any, for switching my Kansas Concealed Carry Permit to SD? I wasn't sure if I needed to go through a complete course again, or a test or what? Thanks!
  • I moved from PA to CO...once I became a CO resident my PA ccw was no longer good...have to take a day long class, shoot the next day (100 bucks)..sheriff fee of 50 bucks, and fingerprint with some other dept fee of 65 bucks!!...my PA ccw cost 20 bucks and took 15 minutes!!
  • In florida the website list states that honor our ccw. There are about 35. some have different restrictions, but your existing permit may cover you there too. I suggest you check out reciprocity.
  • In SD, all you have to do is go to the sheriffs office located in the county in which you are going to "reside" and apply.

But first, you will have to have proof that you have resided there for 30 days. No ifs, ands or buts, it is 30 days. Having a CCW from another states means nothing.
