Summer of 2011 and 2012 prior to moving into our house in coastal South Carolina running air never exceeded 75.00 per month. I would bump the thermostat up to 80 during the day while at work just to keep the humidity down and to keep it from turning into an oven in there and would put back down to 75-76 when I was in. I learned the hard way that turning it off during the heat of the day took too long to cool down.
I saw bills during this period from 30.00 to the high of 75.00. I learned to read the meter and could tell to the day how much I used, SCE&G was .11 per KWH.
I ran the refrigerator and the a/c on electric and used propane for cooking and hot water. I also used two electric heaters in the winter to stretch the propane.
The 2.00 per day average is a pretty good one, especially in the summer. This was with ONE ac only.
