Filling medicine prescriptions while traveling

We have used Walgreens in 40 states over the past 11 years, we also get our prescriptions once a year for 90 days with 3 refills, however if you require heavy duty painkillers, this doesn't work. Those must be filled within the state they are written, also multiple refills and long term prescriptions without a doctor's visit are not available any more either.
