Like most topics it depends on HOW you RV.
Full timers and snowbirds have to take into consideration that they can NOT drop off their MH for a week or two at a dealership or CW. Which BTW is their usual turn around time frame.
Number one for me is Mobile Repair.
With a major breakdown I will ONLY take my MH to a semi truck repair shop.
1. Open 24 hours (If possible I schedule the repair for the midnight shift)
2. QUALIFIED techs
3. Repaired the same day
4. They get parts same day delivery.
5. Reasonable and fair rates. (and depending what state you are in the rates can be surprisingly low)
Unlike CW no matter what state you are in you pay the 'same' high priced rate across the US.
You just do NOT get that type of service at CW or RV Dealerships.
I think the new RV'er thinks that an RV is a magical mystery vehicle that can only be tended to by "RV" stores. Which are all the biggest ripoff and highest priced place you can have repairs done at.
Bottom line under all the body paint and special interior all MH's are nothing more than Trucks! They can be repaired at the same places trucks are. And IMHO, JMHO by experienced and better qualified service techs.:C
