First full day

Retired yesterday and hit the road yesterday afternoon. First full day of full timing we slept in. Make a great breakfast and walked the dog. You're all right that it's a great way to live. Blood pressure down and for the first time in years we feel the world is our play ground.

  • Congrats, you made it!!! We are 17 days away from two years of full timing. Have been retire 11 years this past April. Two bit of advice. Take the first year and don't do anything you don't want. Use it to decompress and make the transition to you new life. Never look back. Do away with the "would have/should have" thoughts. Another thing I told DW our first year of full timing is to not go too cheap or we will end up hating it during the transition period. There is plenty of time for that later.
