2 of us full time in a 34' Class A with 2 slides with no problem. Wouldn't even consider a larger rig. We can maneuver and get into campgrounds others can't. I have met women traveling in small class C's or B plus with no problem. Depends on you. Weigh the pros and cons.
Please know people happily full time in a wide variety of rv's. Pick what works for you.
If I were solo, I'd probably have a small motorhome (maybe class B or small C), a bicycle, and Uber app. But everybody's needs and wants are different. Somebody said buy more than you think you will need once, and there is logic to that. Still we went the opposite...for our first rv as full time wannabes, we shopped for a well priced used unit as small as we thought would suffice. Our thinking is that we can experience full timing , learning a great deal from this small, less expensive rig. Some day we might sell this one to buy a different rig, but right now we are happy with this one.
