we went smaller. we love state parks and need smaller length. We dropped from 40 ft toyhauler to a 'total 34 ft' length toyhauler tagalong.
best thing we did was go smaller cause we fit most everywhere so much easier.
boondock is off the road. In tight places where no one else goes mostly. boondocking is not dry camping like another mentioned.
if you just pull off the road or bunk in a friends field etc. it is dry camping really.
OP, think long and hard how do you want to camp? Once you know your target you can figure a suitable length that will work for you. Best of luck and let us know which way you are going :)
