Here's my 2 cents. When we decided to go more FT (5 months/year) we traded in our 21' Kiwi hybrid TT for a '32 ft Alfa Sun 5th Wheel. That doesn't seem so big but we quickly became frustrated with not only the limits on where we could camp (we dry and boondock) but also the logistics of towing and maneuvering. Not to mention the horrible experiences of trying to get out of muddy spots. Two years later we downsized back to a 23' hybrid Aero Cub. We couldn't be happier. The hybrid allows us to use the full 23 ft for living space. It's light and maneuverable. And we haven't found any NFS CGs or dirt roads into the woods that we can't get into (or out of). And just a side note on this model Cub - it has more kitchen counter space than the 5er.
