nazpaz: I've been lurking on this forum for a few weeks and am learning a lot. I didn't know about the other one.
blangen & BECKS: We like the idea of a smaller rig being frugal and maneuverable, but realize that too small may waste money when we upgrade. I think a big diesel pusher with a 4wd toad would be great I'm not sure it is in the budget.
motorcyle jack: I agree WE need to determine what works for US. We plan on renting a few sizes. I think you are correct that couple of weeks is a minimum. I'm even considering the idea of living out of a small fraction of my house for awhile to see what a reduced foot print would be like.
sdianel: Smaller and more maneuverable would be nice. I think we want to spend time in places that look more like the wilderness.
From what I've read so far it seems like once you get longer than 22' or so you start having drama parking in town. Is there another delineation in length/width/height that makes a difference? I think that when we were in Glacier Natl park they had a size limit. Is this type of thing easiest solved by having a toad or buying a 5th wheel setup.
louiskathy: I was thinking easy access to the drivers seat was an advantage. You say it is important when you boondock. Is that because of bad people, animals or because someone was pissed you were parking in a place you shouldn't be parking.
