I'm sure some will disagree with me but this is what we've found to be true in our case. Living full time is much different than camping or being on vacation. We drive less miles because we have time to get wherever we may want to go and less often. We are retired military and usually stay in military campgrounds - size can be a problem so we are limited to 40' as an average. We are from Florida so we leave for cooler areas in the summer. (Reversed Snowbirds)We have found that our 40' 2012 Phaeton fills all our needs. We have 4 slides, a bath and a 1/2, residential refrigerator, king sized sleep number mattress. Large basement storage with 2 slide trays. It was expensive (for us) but that is all we have and we are very comfortable. The only problem we have is now we can't get away and go camping.
