Fulltiming In Texas

After visiting the New England States this past Summer and having many Issues that caused us to stay in TN after we got back far longer than we had planned, we have finally started our Winter Adventure in Texas.

We are Currently in Dallas. Tuesday we are heading to Marbe Falls for three or four Days. After that we are planning to stay in the Rio Grande Velley for the rest of the Winter.
In the Spring of Next-Year, We are planning to head to WA State. I am glad we were finally able to get started.
  • Welcome to the Republic of Texas!! :-) You may not want to leave now that you're here...

On your way to Washington, if you travel through central Oregon stop in Madras at the park we will be working at, Pelton Park on Lake Simtustus. It is a great place to spend a few days.
    We just may do that.

Be sure to spend at least a couple weeks in Sequim, WA. You may need some heat early AM in the hottest part of summer. Very little rain. Just plain beautiful place to spend summer. We will be there for three months.
I like Sequim. My Sister used to live there.
I am originally from Selah, WA. Selah is five Miles from Yakima.

  • We finally got to spend some time camping in Texas in Oct. Mainly stayed in mainly in a few state parks & COE campgrounds. The COE campgrounds were the best cost wise, very good prices (better with Federal Senior Pass). Most are up in the upper half as Texas, many around the Dallas Area.

We stayed at one by Lake Whitney, a very nice one. COE Map Finder

The neatest State Park we stayed at was Caprock Canyons State Park, a excellent place to visit.
  • Perryton is on 83 just south of the Oklahoma border. It's booming at present...gas and oil...
  • Sounds wonderful. Hope you have a blessed time. Be careful and enjoy the wonderful state of Texas.
