Wow, thanks for the link, Mountain Momma. I missed that last year when we were on the road a couple of months.
Another COE campground I'd recommend is Riana Lake in Abiquiu, New Mexico (I learned about it here.) At half price with the Senior Pass, $8, it's a great deal. Clean, large sites, some with water & electric, bathrooms with showers. The best thing is the view of Cerro Pedernal, the mountain that Georgia O'Keeffe painted numerous times. You can tour her houses in Abiquiu and at Ghost Ranch, where the rock scenery is gorgeous. We were there in October - a lot of art gallery tours in that area every weekend.
