Good day all. I am so excited to find this forum. I have been watching and following a bunch of youtube nomadics for several years and last year decided when my youngest is off to college (3 years) I am going to sell the house and start traveling. I will be 42 years old.
Kudos! Here are some other sites you might like:
Escapees -- I'd suggest joining too.
IRV2 -- another RV forum.
Mobile Internet Resource Center -- since you'll need a good Internet connection, this is your place.
PPL Motorhomes -- a good place to browse for all kinds of RVs.

I am in IT and a lot of my work is remote so as long as I have an internet connection I can work and maintain my income.
You'll need to have a good estimate of the amount of bandwidth you'll require. Currently, your best bet is probably a Verizon plan. However, you may also want to investigate satellite Internet as a backup "Plan B" as this guy did: Gen5 System

My plan is to boondock as much as possible in BLM land/Parks/Walmarts (where allowed) and occasionally an RV park. The tools I would need could be carried in the storage section of a moped with a backpack for what won't fit in the moped. I am not set on a moped or anything in particular. A small tow car would probably be best though if class C was the choice.
I am just under 6' and prefer to be able to stand up. A decent bathroom is a must-have. I don't plan on going out anywhere crazy but would like to utilize remote camping. I love to cook so the kitchen has to be decent.
I'd recommend a Class C with a towed car. This should provide you with enough storage space and a spare vehicle -- personally, that would be a Jeep Wrangler.
