Good over nights on I10 from San Antonio to Phoenix

Please go south at ft stockton and come see us in alpine. Lots to see and do, lost Alaskan rv park is wonderful.

We just made a trip through there, only the other way around.

We stay at the rest stop 8 miles west of Sonora, TX, or the Walmart at Ft Stockton, the Flying J truck stop at mile marker 1 north of El Paso or the NM welcome center rest stop a mile north of the flying j.

We enjoyed Leaman Dam state park near Las Cruces. Nice old military fort monument nearby for history. Very knowledgable folks thereabouts!

Hacienda in Las Cruces, NM and Cochise in Benson, AZ. Both really nice campgrounds.

I don't think there's anyplace that's unsafe. Just drive until you're tired, pick a place and spend the night. There aren't a lot of choice on I-10 in west Texas or New Mexico. Just aim for a town and they're spaced far apart.

For New Mexico, Las Cruces or Deming are your best bets. Arizona: Benson - Cochise Terrace is good or Kartchner State Park and tour the awesome caverns.

Came from through Phoenix going east on I10.

Picacho/Tucson NW KOA near Eloy, AZ. Pretty typical KOA. Nice office folks, led us to site and made sure we were straight and would have no issues with adjacent trees. WiFi was poor. Didn't use their cable.

Van Horn, TX, Desert Willow RV Park. Check RV Parkreviews, the reviews are accurate. Very reasonable price. We stayed overnight in a 43ft. MH. Had to unhook in order not to block driving lane. WiFi was wonderful. Didn't use their cable. There was train noise.

Hilltop CG Fort Stockton
West of El Paso a nice CG that I cannot remember the name of (help appreciated) but a short distance from Camping World
2 or 3 campgrounds on the main street through Deming NM good for overnight. Walmart Deming is okay but noisy because of the large amount of trucks that overnight in their lot with motors running all night

Cochise Terrace RV resort just off I-10 in Benson, Az. Take the exit for Hwy 90.

Really a nice place. Good rates if you have Passport America. I was able to use PPA for the entire week that I stayed there. Will go back whenever I'm in the neighborhood.
