I left home 10/16 and have been on the road ever since been to all 49 states plus Canada and Mexico, currently at the southern tip of Baja Mexico. I have put 138,000 miles on my rig.
SLOW DOWN. You are missing the roses along the way. Why are you in such a hurry? We never, ever, do more than 12K miles in a year. We've been on the road since June of 2006. - ependydadExplorerMy family of 4 went fulltime in June 2015. We've only hit about 30 states so far. Haven't left the country (I can't for any period of time as I still work fulltime on a contract that requires me to work within the US borders).
- pianotunaNomad IIII went full time in 2013. Mostly boondocking.
I just moved into my retirement condo. The only advantage is unlimited water. - arhayesExplorerWe sold our home and retired on July 31, 2014 and hit the road on August 14th of that year. Been living the dream ever since. We’ve now toured 46 of the lower 48 and have pulled the 5ver just over 38,000 miles. Lots more to do and see. Life is good!
- ppineExplorer III became a Road Warrior in 1966. I have driven a million miles since, but not continuously. I love home just as much. Our motto is the best scenery will see on our trip, is in the driveway right before we leave. I had been in every state in the Lower 48 and parts of Canada by 1971. Hawaii and Alaska took a few years more.
