- doxiemom11Explorer IIWe have been on the road since May 2011. Rented our house out for 4 years, then sold it in 2015. We are at the point we would like to buy property to park on in MI around family in the summer and travel in the south for winter.
- js218ExplorerThanks for all the replies, I'm currently in southern Baja Mexico, heading out next week to Yellowknife Canada but will stop at property I own on Lake Tahoe to get my rig serviced before heading north.
- was_butnotnowExplorerRetired in 2003 at age 54. Worried if we could do it but it has worked out just fine. My advice go for it as soon as you can. Left Iowa without the house being sold and headed to the Harlingen Texas area. The house did sell that winter and we have not looked back.
We winter in the southwest and travel the west and northwest. I have a personal blog listing our travels where we have found to boondock which is our favorite way to go. Much is related to our many winters in Quartzsite, AZ
I also do a national site (see below) showcasing other people traveling fulltime and their stories and journals.
