Installation of Splendide washer/dryer combo

We bought a Splendide 7100 ventless washer dryer because of where it has to be located. We would have preferred the vented.

Can anyone point me to a You Tube Video on how to install? I found some really BAD ones that were no help.

Our plumbing hookups will be on the side of the unit and I'm concerned the drain hose will not reach around from the back to the side of the unit for proper draining. Anyone have any experience with that?

I read where you should not put it directly on carpet. We bought a tray for underneath. Should we screw down a piece of plywood and then put the tray on top, cut out the carpet, or just lay the tray on top of the carpet and be done with it?

We bought the brackets to screw it down.

We want to know what we are doing before we start the install.

Thanks for any guidance.

I think if you put the try on top of the carpet, you may find the feet are soon breaking trough the tray do to movement and weight. I would either remove the carpet or if concerned about resale, put a piece of plywood on top of the carpet and the tray on top of that(since you all ready have the tray.
What location would prevent you from using a vented model?

I think you're right about putting the try on top of the carpet. We will either remove the carpet or put plywood on top.

The reason we went with the ventless is because the plumbing is not by an outside wall and from what we had read, that might be an issue to run the dryer vent an extra two feet. We have a vented one in our current motorhome and it works fine. We decided we could make it work with the ventless....although it was NOT our first choice.

    Thanks
