Agree with 2gypsies...
We came from a 25' TT and knew we had to adjust destinations to some extent since we did a lot of camping up in the Sierra's.
What really changed for us is that we wanted to winter, since we are retired now, in warm climates and now basically follow the weather. A 25' was to small for spending months at a time in hence our current rig.
With that you do your homework on different places that you can get your rig in and doing that hasn't stopped us from visiting some pretty fantastic places including NFC's, State Parks, National Parks, County Parks and the like.
Here are a couple of pics as examples;
Beverly Beach State Park - Oregon
Tight but obviously doable.
Lost Dutchman State Park - Arizona
Merrill Campground - Eagle Lake, CA - U.S Forest Service
What you want will work...you just have to make it work with a larger rig.
Good luck....
