Just got an e-mail from Directv that I'm going to need to get a new free access card by Aug 31,2020. Anyone know what this is all about??
My guess is it is a phishing attempt. There is probably a link to click on in the email that will download a virus on your computer. Don't do it!. Your safe option is to open your browser and contact Directtv yourself asking them about the email.- edatlantaExplorerI received a new access card from DirecTV 25 years ago due to the hacking mentioned above, but not with continuous service since then. I would be very suspicious.
- chuckbearExplorerRather than do nothing, call DirecTV and ask them if this is legit and ask them why? Chuck
- shastagaryExploreri had directv the first day you could get it until i gave them up 4 years ago in that time i had new cards sent to me by mail stating they had to be changed out.
i had 3 receivers and they send cards for them at different times for each one no emails they just sent the cards out but that was with the old standard definition boxes.
