Is this completely ridiculous?

I understand how you feel, home ownership is a big responsibility and a lot of work, but running away isn't going to solve the problem. We moved from a 4-plex to a large home on an acreage, it's temporary until the owner decides to retire and move in, and I got overwhelmed at first. We learned to break it down into manageable blocks and decide what had to be done as opposed to what we wanted to do. I think kohai has put it in perspective.
