When you consider maintenance, think about it this way. Anything that can go wrong with your car or your house can break or wear out on an RV.
Even though my wife and I are empty nesters, we do not want to be full-timers. And I know we'd not have wanted that when our two kids were living at home. At times, a 2100 SF house was not large enough!
But some manage it. Last fall we encountered the Kellogg family in a Tennessee state park. They not only full-time, but they do it with twelve kids! If I had not seen it with my own eyes, I'd not have believed it. So it is possible, but not for me.
