I have had the same issue with Amazon a few times and with others. It's not all bad as it may help Amazon evaluate the situation and either stop offering it or find a way to ensure it doesn't happen.

Sometimes they do tell you not to bother shipping it back, as the return shipping cost would eliminate any potential profit anyway.
