Leaving fridge at home running?
Snowbirding to Florida for 5 months. 2011 vintage fridge at home.Would you empty it and turn it off for the energy saving?

That fridge will probably use about 1.5 kWh per day. At $.12 per kWh that's about $27 for 5 months time. In my opinion it's not worth the trouble to empty and clean it for $27.
