- Johno02ExplorerHave done up to four months at a time. Volunteers are told time and again how much their work is appreciated, but are not treated that way. Just a way for administrators to get work down without having to pay anything for it. Turns out that you can spend less and have more fun bu paying senior rates for a campground, and then do whatever you want to. Some sites used to have perks for the volunteers, like free or reduced prices for local attractions, but even that has gone away. Its just not worth it any more.
