Most companies will "draft" you account each month for the amount due. No late charges and you can always dispute an overcharge. Banks can do "bill pay". I don't think I have hand written a check in over 5 years. I am not sure I know where the checkbook is anymore.
Now the only mail I get is "junk" mail from my credit cards and my Fidelity investments statements. Fidelity wants me to get the statements electronically, but I like to "touch" the real statements. I have My Home Address in Emery SD send me my mail once a month.
