Most full timers use some type of mail forwarding service like escapees, or Good Sam.

We use family, in case we get something offbeat.

All our bills are done electronically. It is very easy to sign up for paperless billing. We only have 3 monthly bills. All insurance is done yearly.

Usually you want your mail going to your domicile State.

We use a mail forwarding service for our mail.
If you start now, you can greatly reduce the amount of paper mail you get- bank and credit cars statements can be downloaded from the web instead of mailed to your mailbox, etc.
We recieve maybe 15 pieces of necessary mail per year.

I use a private mail service in my home stare of AZ.
She sends my mail in a priority box once a month when and where I request it.

Besides using a mail forwarding service, start paying all your reoccurring bills electronically. You can also view all you bank statement on line as well.

Most companies will "draft" you account each month for the amount due. No late charges and you can always dispute an overcharge. Banks can do "bill pay". I don't think I have hand written a check in over 5 years. I am not sure I know where the checkbook is anymore.

Now the only mail I get is "junk" mail from my credit cards and my Fidelity investments statements. Fidelity wants me to get the statements electronically, but I like to "touch" the real statements. I have My Home Address in Emery SD send me my mail once a month.

We used a mail forwarding service when we full timed. When we switched to being snowbirds we kept the mail forwarding service and had the post office do a TEMPORARY mail forwarding to our mail forwarding service. You can do it for six months but have the option to add an additional six months on-line.

Just a point of information, as you are travelling you will find most commercial Rv parks accept mail for their guests. I ask when I check in or if I call a few day earlier, and confirm their mailing address. I use places we plan on staying around a week and do it first thing. Have been using this process for 7 years.

Don't throw away your checkbook yet. Every year I seem to stay at a few CGS that do not take plastic - cash or checks only.

I use St Brendan's Isle for my mail in my domicile state of Florida. Periodically, I have them forward my accumulated mail to General Delivery at the local Post Office or to the CG/Resort I'm staying in.

It sounds like you want to do a temporary change, which is different then the permanent change that full-timers do.

If looking for a mail service with the intent of going 'full time', choose your mail provider carefully. There can be tax implications depending on the state you choose as a domicile state, health insurance cost effects, etc. Last - I would not want to change and then need to go through the effort of changing my address for everything (Driver's License, Banking, etc).

Very good advice about changing your bill paying to doing it electronically. I also do all my banking with Alliant Credit Union. All banking with them can be done on-line.
