It's getting harder and harder to use UPS stores and mailbox services for "physical address" purposes. Banks verifying actual residency has been Federal Law for years- ever since The Patriot Act was passed. But now that the internet provides the means to cross check addresses to what actually exists at the given location they're really having to crack down.
Lots of folks have received letters from their banks asking for real addresses, often combined with assertions that the account(s) will be closed if no verifiable address is provided. Here's a link to one of many current online discussions of this phenom.
I realize this doesn't presently have anything to do with the ACA, but it's likely to do so in the future. Dunno where this will leave folks with pretend domiciles etc.- guess time will tell!
