Mini sewing machine?
Do any of you folks travel with a sewing machine? Maybe a small and light one? I brought my mini ultra with me this year, and it's been great to have. But, at nearly 14 lbs, it is a lot of weigh...

That's funny that she got a mini ultra! That's what I am traveling with now. It was a hand me down. Only 2lbs heavier than the featherweights, though without the cachet ;). It does zigzag, though. Has never given me any trouble.
I picked up one of these at a garage sale this weekend for 27 cents (the contents of my coin purse). You all can see how bad the reviws are on Amazon. Gave it a try today.
It runs, though feels and sounds like it needs oil badly. I did not get it to pick up the bobbin thread -- apparently that is a universal problem and I found a possible fix on another forum.
So I have not yet got to the point of figuring out what fabric it will take.
