One Year Anniversary

We started full-time one year ago this month. The DW, two spoiled dogs and myself. We have camped in the following states:

Alabama
Georgia
Florida
Mississipi
Tennessee
Kentucky
Indiana
Ohio
Pennsylvania
New York
West Virginia
North Carolina
South Carolina

Favorite campground - Tionesta Corps of Engineers, Tionesta, Pennsylvania.
Least favorite - Erie State Park in New York.

Must see places:

Mt. Airy, NC (Home of Andy Griffith's childhood home).
Niagara Falls. Must take the "Maid of the Mist" up to the base of the falls.

Best roads were probably in West Virginia and North Carolina. Worst roads without a doubt were in Ohio.

Unexpected things we saw were the barge traffic during our stay at "Land Between the Lakes" in Kentucky and the view from the top of Pilot Mountain in North Carolina.
  • Congrats!! And you still have the Western US to visit!! Hoping you Safe Travels.
  • We have tried to limit travel to around 250 miles a day also. We think we have moved just enough to allow us to get to know the area we are in. Naturally during the colder months we stayed south.

We did have to wear sweatshirts in Pennsylvania the first week of August.
  • Happy Anniversary !!!

    FT is a great lifestyle.

We FTd for 7 yrs. We would only travel 250 miles MAX on travel day then stay for a week/2 weeks. Rarely used Interstates unless absolutely necessary. Used secondary/backroads. Made 6 trips across USA in those 7 yrs.

May you have a great adventure, trouble free and full of memories.
  • Congratulations!! Starting our 12th year today. Same truck, same trailer.
  • Congrats on your year. ! Looking back, do you think it was to much traveling, not enough, or just about right. Just thinking about our adventure when we start in a few years.
