If you want to take in Portland, I can recommend Portland Fairview RV Park eight miles east of Portland. The bus picks you up right in front and a short ride later you are at the train in Gresham. Takes an hour total to get downtown and you can ride TriMet buses and trains all day for $5, $2 if over 65. Otherwise, it is a short drive down NE Sandy Blvd into downtown. Rose City Food Park is along the way for some great street food. Lots to do in Portland, Saturday Market, Art Museum, great restaurants, rose and Japanese gardens, zoo, China Town, Pearl District, etc.
