I suspect the live video feed doesn't get a lot of interest because unless you are doing a song and dance 24/7, seeing the view from your RV with nothing much going on, just isn't that interesting. Live webcam shots were cool 10yrs ago when they were a tech novelty.
Think of it like a book. Days of slogging along are usually summed up in a couple of paragraphs and short periods of excitement get chapters.
By the same token, select pictures or short video clips that people are likely to find interesting. Also make sure they are right on the same page as the blog. I rarely hop to a second page to see pictures when reading a blog and not many blogs are that well written that I keep up on them if there are no pictures.
