We bought a park model in Lake Havasu City. For us, it was the view that mattered + we really love the area and will spending winters here. However, we still have our RV which we'll use to travel the country the rest of the year.
We bought the park model, but lease the campground lot. However, if we could, I'd rather own the lot too.
Our Silvercrest is registered as an RV because it's built on a chassis and is under 400 square feet. It also has a large front porch which overlooks Lake Havasu. That sealed the deal.
We looked at other park models that had lofts, but we do not miss having a loft as most folks seem to use them for storage. If you get a model with a loft and plan to use it, you will probably want to install window air conditioners as lofts can get VERY hot.
