Personal effects insurance coverage amounts

I'm not a full timer, but we just re-did our automobile / trailer insurance policies. We now have a separate rider for the contents of the trailer, that is not covered under our house insurance any longer. We're covered for $5000. I know we don't have $5000 worth of personal items in the camper, except when stocking up for a trip. Then I think we have $5000 worth of food packed away! (we eat well when we go camping!)
