Proof of Home Address Issue
There are some situations when proof of a permanent address requires a copy of a utility bill with our name on it (i.e. opening an IRA account). How does one get around this issue.

Shouldn't be necessary under law but sometimes places have stupid rules which require you to give them a 'stupid' answer. I had a lease form on my computer and when I was required once to provide the kind of proof you need, I just completed the lease with appropriate rental terms, a made up landlord and dated sometime in the prior months, printed it, signed the made up landlord's name, folded it several ways, spilled and then wiped off a bit of condiment off one corner and let the inquirer photo copy it. No problems
