If I were you, I would maintain my Colorado residency status until you close on the property in AZ. The reason I would do this is because sometimes things change and while you may PLAN on moving to Arizona, you may change your mind or life may bring you something unforeseen in the meantime. I would forward my mail from my old home address to the PO box you mentioned in Colorado.
