We've been fulltiming since 2010 and no one has touched anything other than the neighbors who folded up the lawn chairs.
When we go away to town we lock the door to deter the casual thief (really casual I guess) but leave the windows unlatched. We hope someone will rescue the cats if there's a fire; they're far more valuable than anything aboard.
As we unlock bay doors while deploying stuff we leave them unlocked. A small toolbox is far less a loss than trying to replace a 1993 bay door. We only lock them so things don't fall out while going down the road.
