Full-timed 16 years... traveled constantly... boondocked/dry camped in public campgrounds 90% of the time. Yes, we carried valuables. Never felt uneasy leaving it in a secluded place to take off for the day 4-wheeling. Never heard of fellow boondockers getting broken into. None of our boondocking friends felt uneasy.
You certainly don't have to hook up with others in order to enjoy the lifestyle. That would be stifling... like someone holding your hand. Personally, I don't feel you're a good candidate for boondocking. You wouldn't enjoy it at all. Having to set up cameras and alarm systems is ridiculous. You'd be worrying all the time.
Yeah, well, one has nothing to do with the other. Being “safe” is a lifestyle. Doesn’t matter if I’m at my home, my business, in a park or Boondocking. So I’m not connecting the dots there! And suggesting to meet up with somebody at a campsite is HARDLY having my hand held! Stop trying to be a psychiatrist and think you know something about someone based upon a few posts..
