Renewing a US Passport

Costco is cheapest place to get passport photos taken. Cheapest to renew is print form online at Fed site and mail everything in. They push you to pay for expedited service, but ours typically only take 3 or 4 weeks with base service.

If you look at the one for the USPS it takes you to this site. We also did ours several years ago.

We even had our photos taken at the post office. Not all post offices provide this service though. Our previous passports were expired but still no issues. Just had to fill out the paperwork and include our expired passports. The post office we used was very helpful.

One thing to remember is that when renewing, you send your current passport in, don't plan to cross borders until you get it returned.

I've never used the post office for my new or renewal of passport since US passport offices are available in my area. Sorry but I figure if the P.O. can lose my mail yes well whatever, LOL.

Download the forms from the govt site print fill out and send in .. no online "service"
The instructions are on the fed site just google renew passport and use the . Gov site that come up.

^^THIS^^Easiest and fastest way ..be aware not all post offices handle this and you still need an aproved photo ..easy to get at Walgreens etc.
