Using commercial mail forwarding with a PMB in Texas, previously used Florida PMB, and the future may bring a South Dakota PMB.
I never use the PMB, I use the # sign for the PMB. If an online form won't allow the # sign, I have used Apt. or just the number. It is also the physical address for all insurances, vehicle registration and DL's
Used BCBS, now GEHA through FEHB, never an issue.
Since using a PMB, have purchased a Motorhome, and 2 autos. Opened accounts with USAA, PenFed, and BOA without a problem. And closed PenFed without a problem.
The IRS, processes all returns through the address. Purchase vehicles, opened bank accounts, obtained new CC.
OPM retiree online service processes any and all actions I take through their website, and send documents to the PMB address.
It just has not been an issue for us since 2000. Total Fulltime about 6 years, and at it again.
Our physical address is a street address with a PMB, so we live in a Box, literally, both stationary and on wheels. :B
TenOC; I opened 2 new bank accounts since 9/11 without a problem. Haven't used an independent investment firm other than the CU for investments.
I like to keep everything as simple as possible using the KISS concept. I was in the business of giving ulcers, not getting them; so I prefer a stress free lifestyle and accomplish it 99.9% of the time. I have retired from giving Ulcers. Tums anyone?:E
