Retired Federal Employees & PMB #s - Question!

I need to know what issues, if any, you are having meeting the physical address requirements for FEHB, Banking, etc.

If you are using any nationwide (PPO) healthcare, such as BSBC, GEHA, etc., and you are using a mail forwarding company with a PMB #, how do you satisfy the physical address requirement.

Same question for banking.

Any other issues full-timers are having using PMB #s.

Thank you.

Dave

  • It is always going to be an ever changing landscape. What worked yesterday won't be acceptable tomorrow. The only thing that remains a constant is the fact that the rules are constantly changing. Best to contact all the applicable agencies and companies to get their positions. It will be too late if the checks stop coming or insurance coverage is denied. The horse's mouth is the only place to look.
  • Our medical provider would not cover us outside of their "coverage area" in western WA. (Tri care under US family health plan). Wife didn't want to change because medical care is great.

We are already in "no income tax" state but license tabs are more expensive than SD. And they have other ways of getting tax $$$.
  • Em... one of my fellow retires uses his home, which is leased out but he still owns it. His mailing address is a PO Box (vrs PMB) which his kids check.
    Another uses his kids home.
A third uses his old address and a PO Box
I guess none of these use PMB, so this is little help.
