You can take the NM Rail Runner train to downtown Sante Fe right from the station near the Cochiti COE RV Park. Kewa station.

About $6 for a day train pass.
Also we like to stay just south of Taos at the
Orilla Verde Area of the Rio Grande Gorge to be exact. Also see RÃo Grande Wild and Scenic River
$15.00 per night, includes water and electrical hookups. No sewer. $7.50 with Golden Age Pass. 50 amp service. BUT no dump station so you have to go to a RV park in Taos to dump. We use the Taos Valley RV Park on the right side behind the big ACE Harware on the south side as you are just getting into Taos. About $5.
