States are getting pickier about income taxes at that level. At my office we have to fill out exactly where we are working for each day so if we exceed the threshold number of hours in a state that has a low limit, the company has to pay into the states unemployment and with hold for that state (as well as us having to pay income taxes in that state). Regardless of the other decisions, it will benefit you if you keep a log of where you stay over the course of the year in case you get audited by one of the states.
