State Park Stay Limitations-how to deal?

Thank you all for your replies. It was particularly helpful to know about the reservation system and how far in advance some parks need that information as they are popular and full. Also thank you for the idea of camp hosting and volunteering, we will be sure to look into that, I love volunteering for good causes. I have never seen violators get away with such inconsiderate actions for our beautiful public lands for long! Considering that my hubby is a Wilderness First Responder and Firefighter for the National Forest Service I don't think we'd have a problem writing these people up. ; ) Sounds like traveling a little more frequently between stops will do the trick and I've seen some senior campgrounds as low as $300/month with utilities included which is not bad. I am disabled so I would get a discount using my disability senior National Park Pass which will help us with costs and retirement budget. I will look into all of your helpful responses.
