Storage Qs: Water Tank Full or Empty?

My Class A will be in outdoor storage in AZ for 6 monts starting in Oct.

Both holding tanks will be empty, but what about the water tank? Full? Empty?

    Hi Tech,

I would drain the system and blow out the lines. You really don't want to come home to slime in the fresh water system.

Definitely. Six months is a long time for water to be sitting in a holding tank. I wouldn't take the chance.
  • Where in Az? If it will be the Phoenix area, you don't need to winterize. We never have in 20 plus years.
x 2 on draining the tanks.
  • Hi Tech,

  • I would just winterize the unit and not worry about anything.

2 years ago in January we were in Amado, 30 miles N of the border, and we woke up one morning to a 13 temp and froze water hose.
  • I drain mine completely.
When I refill, I use the bleach solution to sanitize the system before use.
  • I would keep it full to minimize the amount of air in the tank. Air is your enemy .
