3000 a month is closer to your day to day living money average while on the road. And would not cover Medical insurance, co-pays, other insurance, income tax, storage of household items, vehicle maintenance and such.
Medical if not both on medicare can be costly!
Then at age 70.5 if you have IRA's the MRD's create additional income tax issues.
