Thinking of Full Time would love some advice

My husband works remote, and we're discussing full time RVing. I have a few questions about this topic.

What type of insurance is the best?
Should we buy new or used? We've never owned an RV before
Are there any books we should read?
Is a mobile hotspot the best way to maintain internet while at campgrounds?
Are there places to get solar panels installed or are they easy to install?

Thank you for any and all help.

  • John and Kathy Huggins wrote a book that helped us - So, You Want to be an RVer?: Celebrating the RV Lifestyle - you can find it on Amazon.
  • Don't buy new whatever you do. If either decide you don't like TV ingredients or the model you bought, you'll be out a lot of money.

Never owned an RV to me is a big red light. Start by renting and see if this a lifestyle you actually like.
Next, figure out what kind of RV you like best. There is no one ideal style for everybody. Next you consider buying something. Remember these things are huge deepreciating assets. So let someone else take the big hit in the first 3-5 years.
