Afternoon,Was looking for what you fulltimers do to keep you rig clean while on the road? Truck washes or do it yourself?Products process etc would be helpful. I am guessing rv parks are not too keen on you washing the rig on there water bill not to mention the mess in the spot....Last fulltimers we saw just used a bucket of water maybe soap, and just squeegeed it dry when done, this doesn't seem to be the best method, but it worked for them...Will sit back and hopefully gain some wisdom from the seasoned vets out there.Thanks for your time and input.

When we have been on the road in bad weather I try to find a do-it-yourself wash bay tall enough to accommodate us.Otherwise I use Dri-Wash n' Gard. Then you can just wash it down with water and a towel.

I hire a local service to wash it. Or a truck wash.

Do it yourself bay. At least once a year we spend a week or two at a nice COE park and give our RV a good waxing, redo any caulking that needs it and spruce things up inside and out.

We use Optimum No-Rinse Wash. Unless the trailer is really cruddy, you can get a good job with a bucket of water and some microfiber towels. Never had anyone at a RV park complain .....

Just did a search for "Yuma, AZ RV wash" and all sorts of mobile RV wash companies came up. So did the regular drive to RV washes, like the one on Foothills and 38th st.

I liked Dri Wash and Guard so much that we became distributors. The inside cleaning products are better than anything the wife has used.

If you are in AZ, snowbird areas (like Yuma) have mobile wash trucks that will come to you. If you are in a park, check first about whether they are allowed, but they usually charge about $1/foot, and do a great job using conditioned (spot-free) water.

We also use a waterless wash product, we used to use Dri Wash & Guard but now we use Wash Wax All by Aero Cosmetics. We really like it and after 3 years the 5'r still looks like new

We use a truck wash, or DH will go around the lower part of the rig and hand wash the road grime off...when it suits him.

We've also washed at the resorts were staying at. I try not to make a big ordeal of it and do sections at a time. The current park only charges $5 for the extra water usage so I'll wash it good before we leave later this month.

We have been pretty lucky finding places that allow us to wash our 5th wheel. We washed it 5 times on our Alaska trip alone. Just ask. You may have to pay a small fee but for us it is worth it to have our rig in tip top shape. We always remove the bugs from the front cap after a travel day. We use a gallon bucket and a brush and never use a hose. We always ask and have never been denied this important cleaning task.
