X1. I empty the black then close the valve and fill the black tank up about 1/2 and then flush the tank a second time, then I open up the gray/shower tanks to flush out the hose and system. After I close the black tank valve I add about 10 gallons of water into the black tank. Keep the gray tank valve closed until you need to empty the black tank.
