South Florida, south Texas, or south western Arizona. Those are your warmest spots in the states. If you plan on Florida, you will probably want to make reservations for any time after Christmas. Before Christmas you have many options, but a lot of reservations start after Christmas.
Good luck on the drugs. I don't think you can get more than 30 days on painkillers. My dad is 91 and on lesser pain killers than you. Even his family doctor won't write the scripts anymore. It has to be a pain doctor and then 30 days at a time. I take one, but my doctor won't write for it anymore. He gives me a lesser one which doesn't work as well, but it too, can only be written for 30 days. Fortunately I don't need more than that to get me by for the winter. If you are in Texas, to get a refill it would have to be written by a Texas doctor. They won't refill any script from an out of state doctor. I had trouble finding a pharmacy to fill my script a mile down the road from my doctor of 17 years in the town where we lived for 40 years because I now fulltime and have a SD license. All these laws have done is make it harder for the average joe to get the meds he needs. The drug traffickers aren't having any trouble.
