Also wanted to order it, and just checked the GS/Camping World website. $9.95 for book + $10 for slow shipping or $13 for UPS ground. Much higher if you want it faster.

I just went to the Good Sam website and started to order the Directory for 9.95. Entered my zip code and shipping was added - $10.00. Price doubled!! No thanks.

Elizabeth: Why do you keep saying it is $6.00? I tried ordering a second time and it still shows $15.00 for shipping. Saying it should be less does not help me! How do I get the book for the $ 6.00 shipping? If I go into a Camping World store will it be $9.95 plus tax?

Well since I don't usually need anything more than ground shipping almost all my amazon purchases ship for free, so the Prime membership is worth maybe $10 to me. :B

I ordered 73 items in 2013. The membership pays for itself at that rate. I have an app on my phone that scans items in stores and gives me the Amazon prices. Most of the time, Amazon beats the stores.

I agree. We purchased 34 items in 2013 through amazon and it more than paid for itself with the prime membership. But some people post on here about it and it's not really a fair assessment. Especially for those who would pay the $79 and buy just one thing. Or for those who have the membership and only buy a couple things throughout a year. You really would have to break it down. For you, the 74 items basically cost you a buck each to ship. For me, it was over $2 each.

The total charge should have been for $15.95, including the $6 shipping charge. The regular price of the directory is $9.95 without shipping. I hope this helps!
