Yea, I was kinda surprised also given his join date and I've seen many good posts from him. - 2oldmanExplorer II

As I said the last time you posted this, your "friend" is trying to take advantage of the service. - RandACampinExplorer II

Our camping friends called Good Sam road side assistance to have a tire inflated. He has a dully. The service guy charged him $50 to pump up the second tire. What is with that? It does not sound like good customer service!!!

And the problem is? Your "camping friend" needed air in his ties, obviously in a roadside emergency situation. Did he agree to the price? If not sit by the side of the road and enjoy your $50. People will whine about everything, either agree to pay the the price; don't agree and don't get the service; either way why complain aboiut it? Because after the fact you think it's too high so you want to question "customer service". Sounds like service to me. - LantleyNomad

Your friend had "2 low truck tires".
Bottom line: a couple of 'low tires' is not an 'emergency', but just normal maintenance that the RV owner should be taking care of. - westernrvparkowExplorerIf Good Sam paid for the original Roadside Assistance call, that is the end of their obligation. Charges for any other services that someone wants done to their vehicle would be between them and the shop. Like many instances on these forums, I think we are missing part of the story. No shop would ever charge $50.00 to simply add some air to a tire. I think your friends left out a few pertinent facts of the story.
- EycomExplorer$50 for air in the second dually tire.:E Was it an inside tire?:h Did he have to re-clock the tires to get to the valve stem?:@
- BumpyroadExplorerdid they have roadside coverage? if so I would have thought that it would have been paid for.
